I recently ventured into the heart of Bengaluru's HSR layout to check out a place that's been buzzing among the local food circuit - Sri Muthahalli Veg. This spot has made quite a name for itself with its eclectic mix of South Indian, North Indian, and even Chinese cuisine.

Walking into this place, you're hit with an ambiance that takes you back to simpler times. The interior is designed like a traditional village house, which is pretty cool and spacious. They've even got a huge banquet hall that can pack in a crowd. What caught my eye was the food display at the cash counter, a neat touch that lets you see what's on offer before you decide.

I decided to go for a mix of items - Bonda soup, coffee, and a jowar roti meal. The Bonda soup was the star of the show - absolutely delicious and a must-try. However, the thali was a bit of a letdown. The sambar and rasam were good, but the lentils sabji and simla mirchi sabji didn't hit the mark for me. So, a little tip from me - maybe skip the thali and explore other options on the menu.

Ending the meal with their filter coffee was a great choice. It's the perfect pick-me-up and a fantastic way to wrap up the dining experience.
Famous Items
Known for some crowd-pleasers like Ragi Dosa, Idli, Milkshakes, and more. And with options for dine-in and home delivery, it's quite convenient. The price point is pretty friendly too, with a meal for two costing around Rs. 450.
What's the Buzz?
People love this place for many reasons - the friendly staff, the comforting food, the clean setting, and of course, the village vibe. It's open from the crack of dawn at 6:00 am right until 1:30 am, so whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you're sorted.

While the thali might not be that good, the overall experience at Sri Muthahalli Veg was worth it. The unique setting, diverse menu, and warm atmosphere make it a spot worth checking out when you're in Bengaluru.
Happy eating, and keep exploring the flavors around you!
