Setting the Stage
Our family is always on the lookout for pet-friendly and kid-friendly getaways, and Kanva Lake, located in Ramanagar just 60-65 kilometers from Bengaluru, caught our attention. Triquetra by Escape2explore, a gorgeous holiday destination nestled beside the serene Kanva Lake backwaters, was our chosen destination for a weekend filled with adventure and relaxation.
While we may not have had much success pitching our own tents in the past, this time, the staff took care of it for us. We were relieved and eagerly awaited the day when we could successfully pitch our own tent. The weekend had drawn many families and friends, but the vast expanse of the place ensured that it never felt crowded.
Exploring the Kanva Reservoir
We dropped our luggage and began our exploration. The Kanva Reservoir welcomed us with its breathtaking beauty and serenity. At one spot, a swing had been set up, allowing us to sit and sway while enjoying the picturesque lake. Several shaded spots beneath the trees provided the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Activities Galore
Triquetra by Escape2explore offered a wide array of activities to keep everyone entertained:
Dinner, Breakfast, and Hi-tea, Kayaking, Pedal Boat, Swimming, Jumping into the Well, Rain Dance, Zipline,Multi Vine, Burma Bridge, Ladder Walk, Hanging Bridge, High Beam
Campfire (weather-dependent, no music provided)
Tent stay (twin & multiple sharing)
Having kayaked before, we were comfortable paddling around the lake. We enjoyed kayaking, rain dancing, and even took the exhilarating plunge into the well. But what added an extra layer of fun was interacting with different groups and strangers, discussing various topics, and sharing stories.
In the evening, we ordered some snacks and chilled by the campfire. Dinner was followed by more conversations before we headed to our comfortable camp.
Comfort and Convenience
Triquetra by Escape2explore ensured our comfort with clean changing rooms and toilets. As the night descended, the temperature dropped, even during peak summer. Luckily, we had our jackets to keep us warm.
A New Day
The next day, we woke up early to witness a mesmerizing sunrise, setting the tone for an incredible day ahead. We tried paddle boating, explored the surroundings, and savored a hearty breakfast.
Thrills and Goodbyes
Our adventure continued with thrilling activities like ziplining, crossing the Burma Bridge, ladder walking, navigating the hanging bridge, and balancing on the high beam. As the day drew to a close, we bid farewell to Kanva Lake with hearts full of cherished memories.
Our kid had a blast, meeting other children, making new friends, trying daring activities like ziplining, and immersing in the joy of exploration. Such experiences undoubtedly open young minds to a world of possibilities.
Stay tuned for the next episode of "Exploring Bengaluru with Kids," where we'll uncover more family-friendly treasures in the vibrant city of Bengaluru.
