Hi All,

I am back after along time with my new blog , which is with reference to my latest trip to Chikmagluru which is known for its Cofee estates .

I planned this trip for the 26th Jan long weekend .Initially planned with my mother .So since my mother was travelling with me I wanted the trip to be a bit slow and calming one .

I found a very good option in Chikmaglur for stay called Sunyata, this place is recently started .

I loved the ambience from the pictures , so planned to book it for 2 nights as it was a bit expensive .

Say 4500+tax .It was totally worth it , you will love the place its quite a Desi and old style of cooling and ventilation. My sister also made it suddenly on same dates , so managed to get the booking there for one more room. We had booked semi delux rooms with complimentary breakfast.

We started from Bangalore around 6 am and reached Chikmaglur via Belur Chennakeshava temple. This temple is well known Hoysala temple and known for its fine architecture.

Day 2

Mullangiri is the main point where on the way if its long weekend you can get lot of traffic.

The Peak trek is for 1 km [steps] .Take elders only if they can otherwise please ask them to stay down and you can quickly trek till peak , take pics and come back.

Rooms were relaxing and with good eco friendly environment. So to plan next days trip I called a local cab rental planned a trip for Mullangiri and Bababudangiri. The package was finailized for around 2500+5% GST [ dont forget to ask receipt since you are paying GST].We wanted to go by Jeep since it was not available we planned to go via a Sedan.

Next Day we had our big complimentary breakfast and started around 9.30 from our Hotel.

Next we headed towards Baba budangiri this is similar mountain view place , but here you find Hindu and Muslim worshipping at this place .It is found to be sacred for both religions.

Just Near to this is Z point [ which mean end point] from here the view is good and soothing .

You can relax here for 30mins.After this place we headed towards Dab dabbe falls , where we need to hire a Jeep [4km] for a bumpy ride to see a waterfall. This you need to pay extra and is not covered in the package the Jeep cost of 700rs.Its worth going for bumpy ride.

Rest other places were nothing just listed in package , not worth it .Negotiate when you plan as honnamma falls is noting its just like fountain you can see on the way , Park in MG Road , Siri Cafe - few coffee items to buy and kind of restaurant.

We were super tired after this , and finally reached hotel and had bath as after Dabdabbe your hair or whole body will get covered with dust as its quite muddy.

We had one more best part is dinner , driver had suggested us to visit Keralapura restaurant.

Around 7.30 we visited the place , this is a nonveg restaurant .I would suggest non veg lovers to visit this place. The food was very yummy , homely touch and pocket friendly.

Pics and menu when we visited is as below:
