Tucked away in a quiet corner on the 2nd floor of the enormous Phoenix Market City mall, this place is no secret; on the contrary, it has a steady stream of customers flowing in and satisfied customers strolling out.
As you settle into the comfortable chairs, you notice the canopy of green vines hanging overhead, plastic, but still lends the charm of sitting under the shade. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options in the restaurant. The service is prompt, the staff courteous and the food delicious. Do you need any other reason for an encore? We didn’t and have been there twice already this year.
In order to savour the variety in their menu, we went with the resolution not to re-order the dishes from our prior visit, but we were unable to say no to the Pulled Chicken Bao. You can opt for a leisurely brunch starting with cocktails and ending in desserts; or simply dive in to a random dish you fancy from the colourful menu which has photos and descriptions about the dishes. The two beef dishes were tried are worth special mention – Beef and Broccoli and Sumatran Rendang (beef) which had the accompaniment of Jasmine rice.
The food portions were satisfying. The place has an ambience of leisurely calm and quiet compared to the crowd and buzz outside in the hallways. It’s the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate for a second round of shopping.
Happy dining,
Anju
