BLADE, an urban air mobility company, recently announced the commencement of intra-city helicopter services in Bengaluru to travel to Kempegowda International Airport, starting October 10th.
In order to shorten the travel duration, residents can now opt to take a helicopter ride from the HAL Airport located in the city to the Kempegowda Airport located in Devanahalli.
Starting October 10th, the helicopter service is set to be operational to and from the international airport for 5 days a week.
“Fliers can now skip the painful 120-minute commute in traffic and opt for a quick 15-minute flight instead. Whitefield and Electronic City will be added subsequently”, the firm announced.
As per sources, the frequency of flights is set to two per day and the cost for each passenger ticket would be INR 3250 plus taxes, one-way. An option of booking tickets online will be made available. The five-seater aircraft will be operating along the same route from Bengaluru Airport to HAL Airport, once at 9 am in the morning followed by a 4:15 pm flight, on the same day.
