Savandurga trek for me was challenging and thrilling at the same time as there is no proper pathway or any kind of support of trees. It is around 3 km to the top .The first km was difficult for me as it was very steep and you have to be very careful with the steps you take to maintain the grip . Thanks to person who made arrow marks for the right path , my friends and i were following the same path .Few places are very steep where we used all our four limbs to move forward. There are 2-3 view points where you can stop and get the breathtaking view of the dam nearby and the town . It took us around 2.5 hours to reach the fort kind of structure before the temple , where we were for 2-3 hours enjoying the view , taking pictures and eating our lunch . You will find lot of dogs following you around, they are really calm and friendly and will be with you till the end of the trek. The one who was with us was quite a poser , he photo bombed almost all my photos . The downhill trek was easier and quicker , it took as half the time to reach the base . The trek is perfect for a day trip near Bangalore and there are option to stay overnight if you have necessary permission from the authorities .
