The flight to Bali was comfortable. We went via Bangkok. The visa on arrival for Indians made it hassle free at the Bali airport, Ngurai International or Denpasar. The blubird taxis were easily available to take us to the hotel. There was an Asian feel to Bali and instantly I fell in love with the new place.
The huge works of art in the form of statues were impressive at the cross roads of the streets. Our hotel was in Sanur for first five days. We stayed in hotel Blue Lagoon. Later for the next five days, I had stayed in Nusa Dua (New Bali) in Ramada. The beach at Sanur was calm and placid but my favorite remains to be Kuta beach. It is meant for party lovers. The sea food at Jimaran was worth a try.
The trip to Besakih temple on road was amazing. We made through the local silver and wood markets Celuk and then passing through the lush paddy fields, we reached the king of all temples. This one houses 23 temples inside one temple. Mt. Agung Lake is beautiful. Mt. Batur and Kitnamani is worth sightseeing. The day was absolutely well spent.
We also spent exploring the markets at Sanur and Kuta and later at the mall, Bali collection. The beaches in Bali are just amazing and all different types. Each one has unique attractions about it. The sunset at Tanah Lot and Kuta Beach were some of the memorable evenings of my life. They fill one with extreme joy and love for nature.
