Isn't it Nice in Nice? You don't need a reason to visit this place. There are endless and unusual things to discover in Nice- the surrounding, beaches, blue-white promenade; Nice is atop in many wanderer's bucket list.
Nice offers the best climate 365 days of the year, it pleasant compared to other cities in France. Get ready to try some delicacies, soak yourself on the beach or walk around the promenade or get a panoramic view from the castle.
Adding to this, there is a bundle of things to do and explore in Nice and fall in love with this city repeatedly every minute.
1. Beach
Nice being the capital of French Riviera, there are plenty of public and private beaches to get yourself tanned and make the most of the sunshine. The sparkling blue water and the white sand combination makes it Instagram friendly (picturesque) for a fantastic click while sunbathing or splashing.
There are restaurants and café on the beach to grab a bite and enjoy a magnificent sunset to relax.
The most iconic symbol of Nice is the tranquil promenade running right parallel to the beach. A stroll or a run on this promenade is a must. It is the best way to know the locals, learn more about their culture and get more interactive. If you not much of a walking person you can reserve a table near a café which offers a panoramic view of the Promenade and feast upon some French delicacies.
3. Vielle Ville
You can never miss exploring the Old town of Nice; it is an entirely different part of Nice which is beautiful you can venture through the narrow streets soaking in the sights. These small streets will have everything stored in for you right from vintage shops to cathedrals to restaurants etc. If you plan to take a stroll in the noon, pick a café or restaurant and try out some Nice delicacies or hog on some Nutella crepes.
If you are into historical Roman culture, you wouldn't want to miss the Nice Cathedral, located in Vielle Ville (old town) built in between leading you through the narrow lanes. The simplicity of this roman catholic cathedral expresses its beauty and incredible architecture that has been done during that era.
Right in the center of Nice, this city square has its own charm, and you would eventually end up here without any plan. Being the city square, in the middle of bustling town Lush Massena is a beautiful spot for a leisure walk or sitting along the fountains. There are endless activities you can do right from trying the local transport to shopping designer clothes to relaxing in the gardens to traditional French boutiques. The places looks really beautiful when lit at night.
6. Castle Hill (Colline du Chateau)
To get the best panoramic view of the city, visit the castle hill- the highest point in Nice.
It is also known as Colline du Chateau where you can glance at the ruins of Chateau de Nice which was destroyed by Louis XIV. You can either climb up the hill through stairs or take an elevator to the top. The Castle hill offers the eccentric view of the entire bay.
7. I love Nice sign
Looking for directions to "I Love Nice" Sign in Nice, France? During our visit we happen to come across this sign at two different locations- one was placed right in front of Massena Fountain, and other was at the end of Promenade. The fun part is you can queue up for a click if crowded or if you lucky have the complete sign to yourself and try different poses.
Did you know that this hashtag was started on social media during the July 14, terrorist attack? It was a message to the world that they believe in peace and hope.
8. Les Distilleries Idéales
With that sunbath, you are sure to feel thirsty and what better can be grabbing a chilled Beer in the old town. Try out either local beers on tap or some wine or a quick bite along. The place is very atmospheric with two floors along with a small balcony and is always crowded until midnight, so make sure to grab your spot. They also have happy hours in the evening which can be pocket-friendly.

9. Paillon waterfront
It is a fun place to be and get soaked in the misty sprinkles with water mirrors on the floor.
This place is right next to the Massena Fountain a 12-hectare park right in the city center.
You can bring back your childhood and play with water jets; which puffs out cool mist, and sprouts water high in the air. You will surely enjoy running in and out of the water jets and crying with laughter.
10. Cours Saleya Market
If you wish to stroll through the old town, please do make sure to visit the market it has tonnes of things to offer right from organic food, cheese, flowers, antiques, and historic art. The minute you enter the market the entire display of stalls and the smell adds up to the expectations. Farmers to Flea Markets, you can treasure it in Nice.
Nice has an entirely different itinerary to offer there are more places which you can discover- Mont Boron, Parc Phoenix, Musée Marc Chagall and many more. All you need is the time and great company to cherish every corner of Nice. Lucky for me I was in the company of the best travel friends one can have.
