I hope you are doing great! So, before I start sharing what all I did in the five-days trip to Chennai-Pondicherry, I want to tell you that I was way too excited for this trip, and, this was a long due one(So, if I go very long in writing, it's all the excitement which is to be blamed :P).

I would majorly be sharing all the good places to eat, shop, the little things & places I explored and obviously the places for your picture perfect memories. I visited a friend in Chennai & hence did not really have to worry much about figuring out places there. After spending one day in sightseeing and mall hopping in Chennai, we left for Pondicherry the next morning really early. The road which connects Chennai to Pondicherry is simply breathtaking. I saw a group of around 10-15 people with their fancy Ducati and Davidson(who we kept seeing all over the way)(I've a little secret crush on all such people :D).

There's a little restaurant in the midway: 99km. They serve such authentic South Indian dishes; I loved their Vada & Idli in a typical South-Indi way.

They also have North Indian menu for all the people who are not into eating South Indian food. But, I would suggest you to try atleast one of their authentic dishes.

The whole feeling of reaching Pondicherry & the excitement to explore the places there, took away all the tiredness of the two and a half hour's bike ride.

So, let's skip to the part which is relevant and you all would like to read(I'm hoping :P)

THE THINGS I DID & THE PLACES I VISITED SLASH WHAT DEFINITELY NOT TO MISS:

This will be one of the most beautiful things you'll ever see. The sunrise and sunset on the Pondicherry beaches are to die for. (You can choose from Paradise Beach, Rock Beach, Serenity Beach, and so many others depending on your mood; Paradise is my personal favourite because of the lovely road which leads to the main beach area).

WHITE TOWN AREA

My answer to why to visit Pondicherry again would be the WHITE TOWN AREA(& obviously the beaches :D).

The walls, the houses, the cafes, the shops, everything in this area will drive you crazy. This is one of the best places in the entire Pondicherry for all your perfect picture backgrounds.

This is one place every local of Pondi will suggest you to visit once. Their firewood pizza and cold coffee is just so perfect for all your moods.

Everything you can imagine of, was made of chocolates here. The ceilings have beautiful butterflies all over. The must try here is the hot chocolate(you get to use chocolate made cubes to sweeten, and the chocolate spoon to stir which dissolves in the hot chocolate).

This is the best cafe of the entire Union Territory. Be it for the brunch outings or the fancy dinner feels, this place is the perfect destination for all the times.

My experience: I went to this cafe all in hurry on the day I was leaving back for Chennai(& did not want to leave this beauty unvisited). I had a quick photo session while waiting for this place to open completely, then had my food and drinks. While I was clearing my balance, a lady came up to me for a little conversation, and, I realised it a little late that she was the owner of the place. Disa, the owner, is a very kind-hearted and soft-spoken lady. She also offered me to attend a pre-fashion show party which she was about to host. All in all, the few hours spent at this beautiful place, were few of the best hours of the entire trip.

This is a small place very close to Pondicherry which is a must visit. It took us around half an hour to travel from the White Town Area, Pondicherry, to Auroville on the bike.

This place is famous for Matrimandir ( an edifice of spiritual significance for practitioners of Integral yoga ). You'll find few good stores & boutiques to shop from; and, the cafeteria inside the complex offers a wide range of desserts, juices, and other eatables, which you'll definitely love.

Get a picture clicked with the main golden structure and pick few red stones as souvenir. Also, Auroville cafe is one place you will not want to miss.

THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF THE TRIP

Winning a random selfie contest in a random mall in Chennai

Never hesitate in trying anything you actually want to. Because in the end, you'll only regret the chances you didn't take.

Interact with people around when you travel; you'll definitely get to learn something new. Always take out time to click some good pictures. Always! 😀

My first bike ride ever (that too in the white town area)

If you have something in your heart and you are confident about it, you'll somehow do it in the end. Always, give it a try! 🙂

Now, keeping all the excitement within my heart, I'm done writing for this blog. I really tried my best to keep it short, and I think I somehow did it. Also, I'm hoping that this might help you if you're planning a trip for Pondicherry. I would personally suggest all the travellers to visit this beauty at least once.

I hope you guys liked it!

A big thanks to all the people who made my trip so happy and lovely! 🙂
