Day 1

A budget friendly trip to pondy.
For the first day, we rented a bike. There are lots of bike rental places in pondy. We rented a Honda Activa bike in a very questionable condition, But the price was 400/per day and it was closer to the bus stand.

After renting the bike, we headed to our hotel for a quick refreshment. We had booked a home from oyo - luxury studio 22278 for three people and it costed around 1500/day. The rooms were so cozy and comfortable. It had a common dry kitchen and a living area.

After  refreshing, we kickstarted our trip by walking along the Beachfront of rock beach.

Next we were headed to the 'French Museum'. It is a recommended place in Pondicherry for historical lovers.  It has a lot of colonial furnitures, sculptures, manuscripts and so many items belonging to the past. The entry fee to the museum was Rs 100/head (2019).

Next we were headed to the 'Aurobindo ashramam'. It is a memorial for 'Mirra Alfasa', known as 'The mother'.It is a very divine, calm and a peaceful place. Mobile phones are not allowed inside. People should visit this place for a spiritual experience.

After the visit to ashramam, we took a ride to 'The sacred heart basilica church'. It is a 100 year old church and a specimen of 'Gothic architecture'.

At 7.00pm, we took a stroll in search of cafe's and found out the best cafe named 'Cafe olè'. It was a quite small place but had the most delicious food. Do visit this cafe on your trip to pondy.

And what's Pondy without boozing and partying?! 😉We went to a newly opened pub named 'Cosy'.
It was relatively cheaper than any other pubs in Pondicherry. The night was ours. ❤️
