One bright and beautiful morning, I woke up feeling adventurous and felt a strong urge to go on a road trip. I decided to go on a road trip to Meghalaya, a land known for its natural beauty. I didn’t have a specific plan or destination in mind. I just wanted to hit the road and see where it would take me. Little did I know that this journey would take me to the beautiful town of Meghalaya.

Around 8 am, I packed my bags and began my road trip from Guwahati. The weather was pleasant; the skies were clear, and foggy mist added a layer to the clouds.

As I started the journey early in the morning, I did not have to face the traffic much though I took my first stop at Nongpoh, a small town, where I decided to take a quick chai break, enjoying the hot tea and the beautiful surroundings. It was a wonderful place to pause and refresh myself. The roads were smooth, and the weather was on my side, making the journey more enjoyable.

Continuing my road trip, I continued my drive, passing through scenic landscapes and quaint villages. I reached the vibrant city of Shillong, famous for its scenic beauty, lively atmosphere, and welcoming locals.

It was around 1 pm, and my stomach reminded me it was time to indulge in delicious food. I decided to treat myself to some momos at Golf Link, a popular spot known for its mouthwatering delicacies. The momos were a delightful combination of soft dumplings and flavourful fillings, leaving me satisfied.

I was eager to witness more of Meghalaya's natural wonders, and I ventured deeper into the region. I came across Mawkdok, a place filled with serene beauty. It was a moment of pure serenity, and I could not help but soak in the breathtaking surroundings. The valleys and hills looked so peaceful, and it made me feel calm and relaxed. I took my time to soak in the atmosphere and appreciate the wonders of nature that surrounded me.

Next, I reached Sohra, a place famous for its stunning waterfall. But it was so foggy that I could not see anything. But you know what? I was not sad because Sohra was still incredibly beautiful.

The landscape was like a dream. Even with the fog, I could see the rolling hills and green valleys around me. It felt like I was in a magical storybook. The air there was so fresh, and a gentle breeze made the leaves dance and sing.

I decided to explore the area and enjoy the amazing nature. I walked on the paths and saw the misty trees. They stood tall, like friendly giants and small streams were flowing quietly. It was so peaceful.

I found a quiet place to sit down and take it all in. Sohra was like a secret paradise, far away from the noise of the city. Time seemed to slow down, and I felt calm and happy surrounded by nature's beauty.

Even though I could not see the waterfall, I realized that Sohra had so much more to offer. It taught me that sometimes, the best things are the hidden ones. The beauty of the landscape, the fresh air, and the peacefulness made the trip unforgettable.

Sadly, it was time to say goodbye to Sohra. But I left with a grateful heart, knowing that I had experienced something truly special. The fog couldn't hide the magic that Sohra held in its heart.

As the bright sun started to go down, I felt a little sad to leave, but I had so many wonderful memories from this trip. I laughed a lot, saw amazing things, and felt close to nature. I will always remember these special moments.

When I got back to Guwahati, I felt so happy and had lots of memories to hold onto. This road trip to Sohra in Meghalaya was truly one-of-a-kind. It taught me that it's important to be open to new experiences and find joy in the simple things. The views were breathtaking, the food was delicious, and the people in Meghalaya were kind.

I can't wait for more exciting road trips in the future. Each one will be a new adventure, full of surprises and amazing things to discover. I love these moments when I can explore new places and make memories that will stay with me forever.

So, if you ever find yourself yearning for a memorable adventure, pack your bags, hit the road, and let the beauty of the world unfold before your eyes. The journey awaits, and with it comes the opportunity to create lasting memories and connect with the wonders that surround us.
