Namaskaram everyone, it is said that "to walk into nature is to witness a thousand miracles". Once you touch the beauty of nature, you will never stop till you find yourself. Such striving again brings me to Chandubi lake to experience the wonders of nature. I started my trip on Sunday afternoon from Guwahati and it took around 1.5 hours of bike ride to reach Chandubi. I took a route through Deepor bill via accoland, rani to Chandubi lake which was a very beautiful drive with scenic beauty throughout the way.
After reaching Chandubi, i parked my bike and spent some time nearby lake and clicked some photos. After that i took a boat ride to cross the lake and reached the home stay.
I reached the home stay in the late evening and rented a tent for overnight stay. The villagers cum caretaker were so humble and welcoming. They setup my whole tent and arranged for dinner also. The dinner was very awesome and satisfying. After dinner, i took a walk in small jungle near lake. It was full moon day and beautiful night.
Staying there overnight alone was one of the most beautiful experience for me. The best thing is your internet won't work there and you only get few signal for Airtel only at some specific location. So, there will not be any tring tring of mobile notifications and its just you and nature. Just quietly sitting and observing things in the nature, listening to sounds of water, birds, insects etc is a very beautiful and unique experience which one must have.
The next day, i woke up early before the sunrise and sat quietly near lake i dont know for how long. There were some fog over the lake and the valleys. Sitting there quietly was one of the extraordinary experience for me with no words to describe.
And the sun has came and i welcomed it with some photo sessions.
After all these, I took a boat ride to cross the lake to reach my bike. Then, I rode around 10km with one village guy to reach Ranikhamar village. After reaching there, I have to leave my bike at one point, as the bike won't go further and started trekking for around 3km besides some river and across the jungle to reach the mesmerizing Kafandonga Waterfall. This was one of the best morning for me.
We can see the glimpse of waterfall from very far and but i have told him to get closer to water fall as possible. After taking every possible steps, we were literally at the foot of waterfall. I spent more than a hour there. If i have had one more day, i would have done the camping in this village also.
After that, I took the same route back to Guwahati. On the way back, i had encountered one wild elephant.
This trip was over, but the experience I had, will always remain with me forever.
