In a very recent move, VietJet Air launched its new direct flights connecting Kazakhstan’s Almaty city and Vietnam’s Nha Trang City. The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of the Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam - He Vo Thi Anh Xuan. A few esteemed members of the government of Kazakhstan along with some senior leaders from both countries were also present on the occasion.
As per sources, VietJet airlines is to start operating regular passenger flights between Kazakhstan and Vietnam starting on October 25th, 2022. The A-330 aircraft will also be operating twice a week along the Almaty-Nha Trang route. The flight is estimated to have a duration of more than 9 hours.
As per a report in the Economic Times, Chu Viet Cuong, a Member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of VietJet had said - “With the route network connecting Kazakhstan and other regional countries with Vietnam, VietJet believes that it will contribute to the important development of Vietnam’s economic-trade-tourism system between Vietnam and Kazakhstan and other countries in the region.”
