I live closer to Valmiki Nagar so I visit here frequently. I wanted to share some pics of this beautiful place so that others may know that Bihar, apart from corruption and illiteracy, holds some beautiful unexplored places too. If you are a nature and wildlife lover then this is the perfect destination to fulfill your needs. It lies on the bank of Gandak river. There are activities like Tiger Safari and Boating which one can take in here. If you are lucky then you might spot a Tiger or a Jaguar in the dense forest of Valmiki Nagar on your Safari. On the other side of Gandak is Triveni, Nepal. I suggest you take a boat to Triveni from Valmiki Nagar to enjoy the beauty of the lust green forest.
To reach Valmiki Nagar one has to take a bus from Patna to Bettiah. Then from Bettiah one can get local buses to Valmiki Nagar. Hotels and Safari can be booked in advance by consulting the Forest Department officials.
