History
The tale of Quy Nhon spans back to the 11th century Champa culture, although the official discovery of the city was made in the late 18th century. The magnificent shoreline of this city also acted as a port for the Chinese as the first destination after leaving China, back in the 15th century. Quy Nhon was also the base for an American military presence during the Vietnam War.

This Vietnamese gem is a land rich in hills, forests, plains, mountains, fields, salt marshes, lagoons, lakes, islands, shorelines and peninsulas. The coastline of Quy Nhon is 42 kilometres of ivory sanded, captivating beaches that host luxury resorts, blessed with an abundance of marine life that also provide economic value to the country. Covering a total area of approx. 285 square kilometres, the city is home to a population of 284,000 people.
Attractions
Visitors of Quy Nhon will be able to visit the historic site where once stood a leper hospital. While the hospital has now converted into a dermatology clinic, descendants of old patients still live here as one community. Other attractions include the Municipal Beach and the Binh Dinh Museum which displays regional history and sculptures.
