Did you ever dream of owning an entire island or atleast renting one?
Well I did!
And it came true🤩
I was always fascinated by the idea of honeymooning on a private island with my partner. But I wasn't sure if the guy I'd marry would be up for this. Some might find the idea of being completely alone on a secluded island boring but thankfully my partner wasn't one of them.I got married this Jan but more than the wedding I was excited for my mini-moon. I had it all planned in advance. We took a flight to Kerala, checked into the nearby hotel and rested the day.
There is something about Kerala which keeps getting us back. The place is full of greenary, streams and beautiful mountains. The beauty of Kerala fills my heart with happiness everytime I visit. Our ride till the dropping point of the island was so scenic. We were taken in a small boat to the island. As we came closer and saw the cottage we were struck by it's beauty. We were greeted and welcomed by Rabbits and Turkey as we made our way to the cottage. We were then served our lunch on a banana leaf. It was Authentic keralan cuisine. My husband and I have a thing for South Indian food and we were very well reminded why. The food was very tasty. Since there was no pool on the island we took a dip in the lake.It was a very nice experience. After that we played board games and had our dinner. One of the best thing about the island was they served us all our meals at different locations so we got a different view everytime.
We woke up next morning to the sound of birds and water flowing. We had our keralan breakfast served with a very beautiful view. After that we headed for spa which was not on the island so we were taken in the boat. The idea of commuting in a boat made us so happy since being mumbaikars we were so fed up of the traffic. Later in the evening we went for the sunset Cruise. As we came back we were surprised by candlelight dinner. We had a really amazing experience on the island and it helped us to bond very well. I think private island is an ideal mini-moon for a couple.
