One of the famous tourist spots in Amritsar, the Wagah border divides the city of India's Amritsar and Pakistan's Lahore. It was a ½ hour drive from my hostel. I was one of the lucky people to get VIP pass to see the Pakistan border at closeup. It was a memorable experience and felt reaching Pakistan is far easier through Wagah Border than travelling on a flight.
When I went to the Wagah border at 4 pm in the evening, it was crowded on the Indian side but vacant on the Pakistani side.
I have seen vendors selling Indian flag paint in our face and they suggested me to put paint on my face at a cheaper price and guaranteed that this makeup will get me lots of likes on Facebook.
The host introduced us to the closing ceremony and made it interactive. Our side was more enthusiastic than our counterparts. And the crowds started cheering the Border Security Force for their marchpast. Then the host shouted "Bharat Mata ki" and the crowd responded with "Jai". The shout was so loud that the sound can reach till Islamabad. But I was disappointed, that we are pulling a leg of Pakistan's citizens. Not only that, the ceremony showed India's dominance towards Pakistan in both Cricket and Patriotism.
You might have seen the Netherlands and Belgium border, but this border makes me sad of disunited India. I felt more pity for the Pakistani side as our Indian side dominating in the war of words.

The ceremony ended after 1 hour and it was time to get back home, the tourists were seen taking photos with the Border Security Force.
I was delighted that I have visited1 ½ countries( Srilanka and Pakistan from the border). And at the same time was disappointed with the divide and rule of both the countries and Pakistan would be thinking about whether it was regret to separate themselves from India.
My hostel host told me that if Pakistan gets partitioned from their Punjab province (Pakistani Punjab), then Pakistan becomes nothing in terms of economic development.
I hope, that in the future, there will be a unification between India and Pakistan.
