Portuguese Custard Tarts are a deliciously flaky dessert that migrated to Macau and became a local favorite. This custard tart recipe yields buttery, sweet tarts with an aromatic custard that gets baked until it’s just scorched on top.

2) Kun Iam Statue

Kim Iam statue is a 20 m tall bronze statue of Goddess of Mercy emerging from a lotus.

3) Enjoy Goa Nights in Old Taipa Village

4) Golden Reel Ferris Wheel

Studio City – a new, Hollywood-inspired entertainment center – this golden wheel is mean to resemble a running film reel.It has 17 pods going around the track and is built at 425 feet (so really not one for people scared of heights).

5) Macau Tower Bungy Jump

Most striking new building on the landscape is the Macau Tower. It is one of the ten tallest freestanding buildings in the world.Best place for the adrenalin junkies – jumping from a height of 233 meters. It’s the world’s highest bungy jump and you can reach speeds of 200km/hour.

6) Macau’s largest beach - Hac Sa Beach

The largest and most well known beach in Macau is Hac Sa Beach, the beach is a kilometre long and is famous for its black sand. It gets its unique colour from minerals in the seabed that are washed ashore.

7) A-Ma Cultural Village in Coloane

A-Ma Temple is one of Macau’s oldest buildings and is the most popular Chinese temple in Macau.

8) Meet the Pandas at the Macau Panda Pavilion

The Panda Pavilion is a nature park containing multiple animal species ranging from gorillas, flamingos, monkeys, and of course the famous pandas.

9) Historic Center of Macau

Camoes Garden and Grotto, or just Camoes Garden as well, is one of Macau's oldest parks. The park is also Macau's largest, covering an area of nearly 20,000 square meters (about 24,000 square yards).

he Museum of Macau is the biggest museum in Macau. It is located in the famous Monte Fortress, in the heart of the city and where the Portuguese first set foot.

12) St. Dominic's Church

Located right in the heart of Senado Square of Macau. This church was placed on the World Heritage List in July 2005, and as such also became the 31st world heritage site of China.

Senado Square (Largo do Senado) is a public square in Macau. It is located in the central area of the Macau Peninsula.

15) Explore Carmel Gardens

Set on a hill overlooking Taipa and the South China Sea, you’ll find beautifully executed beds of flowers, vine-covered gazebos and plenty of benches to rest on away from the bright lights of the casino.

16) Go hiking around Guia Fortress

The fortress features a historic chapel with centuries-old frescos, the first modern lighthouse (1865) on Chinese coast as well as old military tunnels.You’ll also be rewarded with stunning views of the city centre.

Tip: From the fortress, there is access to forested nature and hiking trails around Guia Hill. This is one of the green lungs of Macau where locals go for a quiet rural retreat from the busy streets below.
