I traveled to Goa when I was asked to leave by the company

I was then working as a Digital Product Manager in a company where I was asked to leave 5 months into the organization. It came as a blow to my super ambitious self when I remember, one night calling my sister of how we should take the sister trip. We booked the tickets for the next Holi weekend to spent the week in the serenity of Palolem, casino night in Panjim, and party nights in Baga. It was our first trip together and we just couldn’t wait for the day to arrive.

I put down my paper the next day and asked them to relieve me in 5 days which they agreed. The day I was relieved from my work, I took the flight to Goa where my sister would be waiting for me. I needed this trip to clear my entangled head and be with my best friend for quite some time alone. While I was on a flight, it clicked me that I should travel more often. If not this lockdown, right now I would be with my best friends in Bangkok. I promised to take 4 trips each year to gift myself with the art of survival.

Day 1

We both met outside the airport and straight away took a cab to Palolem. In Palolem we stayed in a beach cottage named "Royal Touch"

We stayed in Arudra Beach Resort and this was the view one would never miss.

Once I returned I started writing journals and blogging about my experience in different places I travel to. It cleared my head to the extent that I could identify my bad habits and build on gaining strengths. The spontaneous travel to Goa gave me the perspective that I should always travel; travel to celebrate, travel to forget, travel to forgive and travel to self-reflect.
