How to reach:

1. Upon arriving at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station, you can book a shared cab or cab to yourself and head to Jaigoan which is India-Bhutan border. It will take approximately 3 to 4hrs to reach Jaigoan.

2. You can also take a flight to Paro(Bhutan) from major cities in India like: Guwahati, Bagdogra, Delhi, Kolkata etc.Their is only one airways Drukair which flies to Paro. For booking you need to check their website for booking, rates and frequency from different Indian cities.

Trip Begins:

Day 1

Upon reaching Jaigoan head for your immigration it will take maximum of 15-20 mins.

Post that check in to your hotel and stroll around Phuentshling area, grab a coffe at Kizom cafe and overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

Travel from Phuentshling to Thimphu(5-6 hrs travel)

Check out from hotel and start your journey towards Thimphu. On the way you can visit Kharbandi Gompa, its a overnight constructed monestry situated between a beautiful garden of giving a beautiful view of the mountains.

Have lunch on the way and get beautiful view of the mountains. Upon reaching Thimphu, visit Simtokha Dzong which is the oldest fortress of the kingdom.

Check in the hotel, get freshen up and take a stroll in the town and overnight stay in hotel.

Day 3

Thimphu site seeing

Have your breakfast and start your day for Thimphu sightseeing. Visit the tallest Buddha temple "The Buddha Dordenma".

Post that visit the Memorial Chorten (Stupa), Folk Heritage Museum, Institute of Traditional Medicine, Institute of Zorig Chusum, National Library, and the Textile Museum , stop by for lunch and lastly visit the Tashichho dzong which is very beautiful located in centre of the city. We also visited the national zoo and from their a view point which gives a mesmerizing view of Thimpu city.

In the evening take a stroll in the town , can for Karaoke in pubs or just have a coffee and stroll around the town.

Day 4

Travel from Thimphu to Punakha

Head to Punakha from Thimphu. Enrout stopover at Dochula Pass where 108 Chorten was built by the present Queen Mother of Bhutan Ashi Dorji Wangm.

This is one of the picturesque location, you get the view of snow capped mountain and Dochula it self is magnificent. Upon reaching Punakha visit the Punakha Dzong, it's a stunning example of Bhutanese architecture, it's huge and magnificent built on river side. All the important functions and festivals takes place here. Post that visit Chimi Lhakhang situated between green fields and have your lunch. Check in to your hotel or spend your evening chilling at the river Bank or spend time in Mountains. Have dinner at hotel. We stated at Hotel Vara,their hospitality is commendable, food and location was just wow.

Day 5

Travel from Punakha to Paro

Have your breakfast and head for Paro. If time permits visit Drukgyel Dzong (Fortress/monastery), the ruined fortress from where Bhutanese repelled several invasions by Tibetan armies. Upon reaching Paro , check-in to your hotel, have lunch and visit National Museum and walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong(Paro Dzong), the fortress which has a long and fascinating history.

Day 6

Tiger Nest

Get up early,have your breakfast.

Start your Hike towards Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery), you will trek up the mountain to view the enchanting Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) that clings dramatically on a huge rock cliff, 900m above the valley. The 2-3 hours hike (each way) takes you through pine forests with a spectacular view of the valley below. There are cafe in between to rest and rejuvenate.

After coming down have your lunch, take some rest and in evening go for Hot Stone bath with is must to do after a long trek and also it's a traditional style of bath with Bhutan people also take twice a week. Have traditional dinner at the homestay with local wine.

Day 7

Head for Phuentshling from Paro.

On your way get a beautiful view of the Paro airport, which is also the hardest landing airport in the world as its completely surrounded by mountains.

Reach Phuentshling by afternoon, cross the border and your are home, India.

Head to your destination from Jaigon.

And this beautiful trip with Nature comes to end.
