Bhutan is finally open for tourism,after almost 2.5 years. However, there are new rules imposed post covid that you need to know.
Below are few points you might need to check out while planning your travel to this happy country :
1. You will be charged 1200 rupees INR as a Sustainable Development for each day you stay in Bhutan
2. Travel guide is mandatory and will accompany you throughout the travel. You'll be assigned a guide at immigration if you planning trip on your own or else your travel agent will do it for you. Travel guide fees needs to be paid upfront.
3. You will have to pay 4500 rupees INR daily if you plan to take your own vehicle from India.
4. 3-star hotel is mandatory for tourists.
5. Entry fee to visit dzong/temples have been increased post covid.
