A2B Veg Restaurant is a chain of restaurants by South India’s famous sweets and snacks brand, Adyar Ananda Bhavan. I visited their outlet at BIAL Road which is nearby Bangalore Airport on the recommendation of my chauffer when I shared with him my desire to have an authentic South Indian breakfast and he didn’t let me down at all!
After chatting with the owner until I waited for my breakfast to arrive, I got to know that Adyar Ananda Bhavan was started by Late K.S. Thirupati Raja somewhere in Chennai about 30 years ago and the journey which began with a small sweet shop has clocked many a mile today, leaving its footprints not just in Chennai but its neighboring cities as well!
I breathed a big sigh of relief after checking out the wide range of South Indian dishes on the menu. My breakfast consisted of Plain Dosa, Idli, Medu Vada, and Filter Coffee, which was highly recommended by the courteous owner.
Though I’m not a fan of Idli, still the fluffiness of Idli served at A2B won my heart in no time. However, I was slightly disappointed with the Medu Vada served at A2B since it was a bit overcooked.
As far as the Plain Dosa is concerned, it was so well-crafted that its perfect crunch and buttery taste melted in my mouth and delighted my soul to the core; Special mention to the coconut chutney, spicy chutney, and sambhar of A2B Veg Restaurant!

Breakfast in South India is incomplete without its signature filter coffee…
As soon as I took the first sip of this refreshing beverage while enjoying the highway view, my body got an instant boost and I was all set for the remainder of my travel for the day!
I would highly recommend A2B Veg Restaurant to someone who wishes to have authentic South Indian food at a pocket-friendly price.
