Day 1

We arrived in Georgia after a night's journey from Dubai and our 1st day began with an early morning view of the capital city of Tbilisi. The European styled buildings bathed in the golden hues of the sun and the mazelike cobblestone streets definitely added to the charm of this city.

After checking into our hotel "King David Hotel" which is situated on one of the most prominent street in Tbilisi known as the Agmashenebeli street, we set off on our journey to the Kazbegi mountains which is the third highest mountain in Georgia

We had pre-booked the car from our hotel which came with a local guide/driver. Would advise you guys do the same as these guides are quite knowledgeable about the tourist places, so exploring the country gets easier and it was quite pocket friendly as well.

A scenic pit stop on our way to Gergeti Trinity Church. The drive to the church is one of the most stunning drives in Georgia where you can get plenty of opportunities to soak in the beauty of this country at these scenic lookouts on the way

Wine is produced almost in every household in Georgia and the locals sell their produce at these roadside shops. Do enjoy a glass of wine while exploring the scenic locations

For lunch we were accompanied by our guide to a small restaurant by a stream of water and Caucasus mountains in the horizon (an ideal place to have a meal) where we had a local cuisine of fried fish cooked by the owner himself. We literally devoured our food while enjoying the cool breeze

Finally we reached our destination for the day "Gergeti Trinity Church" which is located atop a hill. Make sure to rent a 4WD from the nearest town of Gudauri as the road to the top of the mountains is narrow, crooked and full of gravels

We were visiting during the summer but this place is also worth visiting during the winter months as you can enjoy snow flakes and picturesque views of the town of Stepantsminda

Day 2

On our 2nd day we headed off to the picturesque town of Signagi which is known for its wine production. The wine, red roof houses, the medieval architecture, the cobblestone streets is a remembrance of Europe. After spending a couple of hours in Signagi we headed off to our hotel in Tbilisi
