Best beach of Krabi and Penis Temple, Thailand

In my previous post, I shared that I had a disturbing night. So here's the story.

When I was planning my Thailand trip, I saw a beautiful photo of a beach.

After scratching the web I found out the photo is of Phra Nang Beach near Railay in Krabi. And that is how I added Krabi to my travel list.

While searching for hotels I found at there are not many options near Railay so I decided to stay on Ao Nang Beach.

But but but... All the night market and Phi Phi tour didn't give me time to visit Railay.

According to the plan I am supposed to travel to Railay today and take the shared taxi in the evening or a ferry to Phuket, which is available online but in reality does not exist due to the off-season.

So I am left with 2 options: Either to skip Railay and take the only shared Taxi that's in the morning for 450 Bhat OR to spend 2000 Bhat for a private taxi in the evening.

That disturbs my complete budget for the trip. As I came with a very limited budget and I am just done with half of my trip, the most expensive Phuket is yet to come.

Take care of the Budget or Go to your wishlist place. These calculations and making a decision made it a very hard night for me.

After all the thinking I choose to follow my wishlist and told myself that the extra money spent today will come back but this moment won't return.

So, I took a Longtail boat ride to Railay, the ride was less bumpy but more thrilling as you are just above the sea, like only a few inches above the water and you can see that.

The first look at Railay made me realise that I took the right decision, It was beautiful.

Then a short walk along the Phra Nang Caves takes you to Phra Nang Beach. Just a look at it and a bright smile on my face. All of it was worth it at that very moment.

At one corner of the beach, there is a penis temple, locals believe it blesses fertility.

After a little me time, I came back to Krabi city, found a local shop to eat and started my journey to the next destination.

Phuket.
