Wednesday Flea Market at Anjuna Beach, Goa is no secret. You’ll get a lot to shop there, explore exclusive trinkets, and take back home some lovely memories and mementos.
Like all others, our must-visit places in Goa also included indulging in the ‘shopping delight’ at Wednesday market. But while we were walking down the market, we saw a lovely cafe set-up, which stole our hearts and made our WEDNESDAY, more than the flea market tour.
It goes by the name of Eva Cafe, and right from its entrance, we were charmed to glance inside, take a seat there and relish food in the company of sun, sand, sea and the sky. Plus, we had to take our shoes off before entering, which seemed like an ‘experience to experience.’ We got sold at once!
This pretty, little white paradise on Anjuna Beach, overlooks the beach itself and has the most minimal yet attractive ambience which one can ever imagine. Themed mostly in white and wood, the cafe looks dreamy from inside, has different kind of seating arrangements to suit the mood, a rustic decor and gives a typical Greek-styled cafe vibe.
In terms of food, it’s the European cuisine which the cafe caters to; with loads of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacy options, including sandwiches, burgers, pastas, coffee, alcohol, Shakshouka, and so much more. While I settled down for a Veg Margharita Sanwich and a cold coffee, my husband relished on the Tuna Sandwich and a beer. The presentation, taste and after-taste were all too good. Just like the ambience, we were awed by its food too.
While we were there, it was almost time for sunset, and we knew we had discovered one of the spectacular beach-cafes in the country, to rejoice in the sunset view.
Every little thing and corner of this cafe has been crafted with love, creativity and passion by the creators of this paradise. The way they had put up the dream-catcher, had the bar menu bottle on each table, sold fashion accessories and designer clothing simply made us wonder how people can be so precise and accurate with the set-up.
To conclude, we will visit Eva cafe each time we’re in Goa. That’s how good this place is. Won’t say it’s a must-visit, but will say that: YOU HAVE TO VISIT EVA CAFE!
