We all know the hype that's been created around courtship bdays and specially for the ones like me who are not so good at planning surprises it becomes a nightmare. As his bday was approaching everyone related to us started asking me about my plans. I was clueless as to what I was gonna do. I am someone who is not very fond of gifts and nor is my fiancé. I wanted to give him something that he will remember his entire life. Some experience, something memorable.
After thinking about it a lot I decided to fly him to Hyderabad for a day's trip. My fiancé (now husband) has a thing for flights and both of us love to travel. I am into food but he is more into ambiance. We couldn't spare more than a day so going for a vacation wasn't possible. But I realised to take a trip a day was also enough.I wanted to make him feel super special on his day so I decided to do it in the nizam's style. Many people including our parents thought the idea of flying to a city just for a meal was crazy but we decided to do it anyway.
If you ever go to Hyderabad then visit to this beautiful palace style hotel is a must. The view from this hotel is spectacular. You can see the entire city of Hyderabad from here. As you enter the property, you can see peacocks and other beautiful birds. You are taken in a chariot till the palace. We dined at Adaa. They served authentic Hyderabadi cuisine which was super delicious. They also provided a palace tour along with the lunch. All in all it was an amazing experience.
We also visited few other palaces and museums in the vicinity and had our dinner at the famous restaurant chain 'Chutneys'. They serve you 8 types of chutneys along with their south Indian delicacies.
We had a wonderful time in Hyderabad. It was just the experience I wanted to give to my fiancé.
Cost:
Cost was on the expensive side. But it was totally worth the money.
