Golden Punjab

Punjab, a state of five rivers, golden temple, delicious food, green crops, history and lovely people full of happy heart and helping hands.

GOLDEN TEMPLE also known as Harmandir Sahib, meaning "abode of God". It is the holiest Gurdwara and the most important pilgrimage site of Sikhism. 2 days in amritsar specially my birthday spent in holy golden temple was very special. Golden Temple where people from all over the world come everyday for blessings. Temple is so peaceful, full of positive vibes and blessings offer free food(Langar) to almost 1 lakh people everyday.

JALLIANWALA BAGH is a historic garden and ‘memorial of national importance’ in Amritsar, India, preserved in the memory of those wounded and killed in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre that occurred on the site on the festival of Vaisakhi, 13 April 1919. It houses a museum, gallery and a number of memorial structures.

ATTARI-WAGHA BORDER is a place of BSF and indian soldiers protecting the nation where the evening flag lowering ceremony happens everyday 2 hours before the sunset. One most visit the place to experience the ceremony full of excitement, enthusiasm, heroic performance, parade and chanting of Hindustan Zindabad and Jai Hind.

GOBINDGARH FFORT telling a history of Punjab and place where the great Maharaja Ranjit singh lived. Gobindgarh was conquered and enhanced in the early 19th century by Sandhawalia Jat ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh who renamed it after the 10th Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh. The fort had five cannons which included the famous two ‘Zamzama' cannons. The structures built during this phase were the circular path in the center part of the innermost enclosure, Toshakhana, and Bastions.

FOOD: Nobody does finger-licking desi food like the Punjabis! Oodles of ghee and as many calories, it not only satiates our hunger but also satisfies our hearts. Whether it is the roadside dhabas or the fancy restaurants, Punjabi food is a lot more than various spices put together.
Some popular and delicious dishes are Makki di Roti te Sarso da Saag, Aloo Parathe, Amritsari Kulcha, Rajma Chawal, Chhole Bhature and Daal Makhani., Yummmmm.

Enjoyed the 2 most beautiful days of 2020 on the occasion of my Birthday in Amritsar, Punjab and would like to advise all to visit once in life.
