Draped in rich history, culture and traditions, Amritsar is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Sikhs across the world and welcomes tourists with open arms. One is embraced by the bustling streets, the aroma of cooking food in the open-air kitchens and strains of devotional music the moment you step into the lively by-lanes.  My stay in Amritsar was at hotel Taj swarna which is in the heart of amritsar which was a perfect space to start journey with utmost relaxation.I reached Amritsar at 9 pm from karnal so after so long and arduous journey I was not able to go out.

Day 1

After brushing off all tiredness next day early in the morning I went to golden temple also known as Sri Harmandir sahib. Going Amritsar and not visiting Golden temple means voidness in the journey. A dip in holy water calms our mind and generates zeal in body. More than 100,000 people visit this shrine everday. After visiting shrine I left for jalliawala bagh which  is a historic garden and ‘memorial of national importance’ in Amritsar, India.  It houses a museum, gallery and a number of memorial structures.Being a punjabi food lover I went to amazing punjabi restaurants. I loved the food . I never had such amazing food even on any of my trip.

Day 2

Next day I went to gobindgarh fort which is a historic military fort located in the center of the city of Amritsar in the Indian state of Punjab. Today the fort is being developed as a museum and theme park, as a repository of Punjab’s history. It was   slightly expensive but worth visiting . it is known as bhangian da kila.i saw punjabi dance and there culture which was best thing in my whole journey. I went to many villages one ot them was bhilowal.people there are so simple and good. After that i went to attari bagha border at 5:15 pm the parade started . I was startled to see the parade. More than 1000 people were watching parade. The drill is characterized by elaborate and rapid dance like manoeuvres and raising legs as high as possible, which have been described as "colourful". It is alternatively a symbol of the two countries rivalry, as well as brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations. After that I enjoyed some famous amritsar cuisine.
