Start with 3 days in Amman. While there do a day trip to Jerash. Hire a car, and head towards Petra. Take the long King's highway. It is more picturesque. Will take around 4-5 hours to get there from Amman. 2 days in Petra to discover the ancient city, civilization and the natural wonder. Carry on to Wadi Rum[ 2-3 hours drive from Petra], and camp in the desert for one night. Next day, head to the port town of Aqaba, for some beach fun. You can look at Egypt across the coast on one side, and Israel on another. And spend a day or two there. Drive back to the dead sea, and spend a day or two there, exploring the dead sea and the natural wonders around. Head to the airport straight from the dead sea resorts.
