We arrived at 10 30 am at Aleppey which is around 85 km from Cochin International Airport . The agent met us at pick up point near hotel Ramada. We had booked a night stay. Up on arrival we were welcomed by our host. This was followed by welcome drink and our ride began. It was pleasant to feel the breeze blowing , to see ripples in the calm waters and to watch the birds flying to catch fish. The clouds drifted and it drizzled for some time. We had booked via booking. com. At around afternoon lunch was served with both vegetarian dishes which included potato sambar, pulisheri vegetables, kerala special fish "karimeen fry" , rice and chicken curry. We then stopped near a strip of land where we got down for walk. Our room was sufficient for three of us. Nice wood cabin with attached bathroom.
Evening we were served tea and snack banana fry. At around six our boat was anchored and then we had a wonderful dinner. It will be bit spicy but those who love spicy food it wont be an issue. The cook was very friendly. They will stop at small shops near land at a point so that we can buy any grocery of our choice and the cook was willing to prepare special for customers. We sat watching the night sky for some time after dinner and had a nice sleep. The next day morning we got fresh and had breakfast and were dropped off at starting point.
