Hello fellow travelers I Vipul Asthana am back with a new story of my visit to Jaipur, Ajmer and Pushkar in the end of the year 2020.
The fighter inside everyone always wants to win and won't take a lose, even in the COVID times. And hence I had to go on a trip to some place. I have no idea how I agreed to go to a place that doesn't have a mountain or a hill.
The plan started abruptly when we (me and my 2 friends) discovered a 3 day long weekend and just like anybody we had to make a plan and it was decided that we would be going to Jaipur (initial plan) and look at the medieval fortresses in an awe. We booked a bus ticked fairly cheap and Thursday night we left for the pink city. Taking all the necessary precautions of the COVID the bus ride was an easy transport.
The bus dropped us at Sindhi camp before sunrise and we thought that we would wait till sunrise and then take a decision of where to stay hence we went to the train station nearby. Advisory the Jaipur city is all ready to thug you at every point. And this is what happened we met somebody who persuaded us to take this hotel of his friend which was cheap and along that he also asked if we want to see the city monuments in his auto (Tuk Tuk) which we shouldn't have had taken. { Piece of advice try using local running autos or uber rather than booking yourself a auto}. We booked the room in the hotel and freshen up then took his auto for the Albert Hall museum which was all beautiful and majestic but "was a museum" hence we left the place early and went to the beautiful Hawa Mahal took pictures saw the market and then went to the City Palace Jaipur and saw the Glorious Palace, enjoyed the puppet dance show and left for the best place of the evening the ISARLAAT. It was made to look at the boundaries of the city and check for attacks now it serves the purpose of giving great top views of the city. It gave us what was just required of it peace in between city chaos. Next we came back and found us some place to eat but we don't know for some reason the city has lost taste no local food tasted anyway near to expected, maybe coz of feeding so many foreigners.
The night was planed for ChokiDhani before even coming to Jaipur and we taught ourselves to not believe just anybody on road and took an uber to the location. This is just the place to be if somebody is planning to go to Jaipur please visit chokidhani and take the Rajasthani thali for dinner go with your family friends anybody you will enjoy for sure. we were served more than 50 food items and the waiters there are just a delight they feed you like a family one would not be able to hold themselves from giving a tip (which is not required) the place is build like a big amusement park and is enjoyable for all age range. We came back to our place late night and slept.
Next morning we woke up early and checked us out from the hotel and took an uber to the Amer fort, this huge fort is a great eye candy one just does not want to leave the fort. Before leaving we took a look at the authentic Meena Bazar and the stuff they make there it was something we will remember for years to come. We took an Uber to the Jaigarh fort and saw the great canon factory they have there it was evening so we stayed till the sunset and came down hiking, sat at a café and were enjoying view of Amer fort in the night suddenly a friend pushed a plan to leave for Ajmer then and there. the plan was passed with full support and we took a govt bus to Ajmer at 9 in the evening which dropped us at Ajmer at midnight and we booked a hotel using Oyo App and crashed.
Next morning we got ready and first we left for Pushkar, the holy temple and the lake was a great sight. We came back to Ajmer to see the Dargah Ajmer Shariff and took the earliest bus to Jaipur so that we could reach back home (Delhi) in time but that did not happen which in turn made things great for me. I was not feeling great about this trip as I am not somebody who enjoys going places and looking at things and in this mean time that we had before we aboard the bus to Delhi we sat in a café-cum-restaurant and had nothing to do so we chat, ate decent food and I finally to a sigh of relief from all this running from 1 place to the other.
