Surrounded by Aravalli Hills - Ajmer is famous for the shrine of the sufi saint ‘Khwaja Moinuddin Chisthi‘ which is a must visit when here, also the base for visiting Pushkar (11km) famous for the temple of Brahma. The town has hundreds of temples, including 14th-century Jagatpita Brahma Mandir, dedicated to the god of creation, which has a distinctive red spire and walls inlaid with pilgrims’ silver coins.
