We reached Pushkar by car only to realize how beautiful this small town of Rajasthan is and so much to offer. We started our day with the visit to Savitri Mata mandir. A small temple dedicated to Goddess Savitri, wife of Lord Brahmaji. The temple is situated on the top of the hill overlooking the town. It is easily accessible via a ropeway which charges around R's 90 for two way journey.
You will be mesmerized by the view from the top. It was Sunset time and i think the pics are enough to justify it. You get the view of the complete town and its surrounding.
After the breathtaking view we visited the Brahma temple situated in the heart of town right next to Pushkar lake. Visit to the Brahma ghat is a must. You get in touch with your soul at places like these.
Later in the evening we strolling in the lanes of Pushkar to find few gems that this city is offering. We discovered a coffee place serving Italian coffee. It was delicious. Cold weather combined with hot coffee was heaven.
We wrapped our day 1 with dinner at the hotel.
Day 2 for us was to head back to New Delhi and visit Ajmer Sharif Darga. We started our day with pet Pooja, we tried some street snacks like Samosa, mirchi vada, kachori kadhi. Samosa was filled with heeng and was amazing (I am a heeng lover) so was kadhi and vada. What was exceptional was paper thin Malpuas. Worth trying here in Halwai galli.
After our lavish breakfast we went to the sufi town of Ajmer. Visiting the darga i released the power or giving back and helping others. It was huge peaceful and the architecture will take you back in time to realize our history has lots to offer
