Day 1

So before the hit of covid-19 I have been to Agra (Uttar Pradesh) .

You can reach to agra by bus , train and air from delhi but being a traveler all you need to know is how to travel more in less expense . So i went there by train that i took from Nizamuddin station at 11 pm in the night . The main reason behind going there so late was to save both money and time . Reached Agra Cantt in the early morning at 4 and waited on the station for sunrise . You can save money by staying on the station for two or three hours maximum and also for photographers reaching at tajmahal early morning is much needed as crowd in afternoon will not let you capture this beautiful place so easily .

There is cloak house too near station where you can put all your extra stuff and explore agra freely . So after keeping my bag at cloak house nearly around 6 we booked an auto for 1100 bucks to take us to fatehpur sikri as it is around 40km away from station and we negotiated enough to include tajmahal and mehtab bagh too in 1100 . You can go by local bus too but as i had to cover all the major places in agra in just a single day so rather waiting for bus i decided to go by auto . I would suggest you to not opt for going and exploring agra by cab as the prices hike due to high demands and being a tourist place you can imagine the demand their and will end up losing high mount in travel expenses only .

We reached to fatehpur sikri at around 7 in the morning . You can get their travel guide too to know more about that place and explore it completely . As we had a local auto driver with us so we were completely acknowledged with the history of this city while our short journey . Somehow I became part of the city by connecting to it through stories and experiences shared by auto driver. I remember him telling about how Agra has been changed after Taj mahal getting recognised at world heritage site . Earlier it was not used to this much crowded but in the recent years Agra is all about the tourists.

So coming back to Fatehpur sikri , there is marble tomb , Diwan-E-khas hall and you will enter to jama maszid through a gate famously known as buland darwaza . After exploring fatehpur sikri i was in love with the imagination of the Mughals and then carving the city in those imagined artistry . The monuments speaks the stories of Mughal emperor .

We left from fatehpur at 11 to reach minaar-e- ishq (tajmahal ).

As we kept progressing further into the City of Agra, the beauty in the expressive minarets originally intended for the calling of religious congregation, now spoke volumes about what the City stood for. There is space for interpretation in every extroverted awestrucking monument that you come across, the play in materials, the constant proximity to beauty, making it a perfect composition for making it a very poetic City with underlying symbolism in every step.

We reached tajmahal at 2 due to the traffic scenes . That white beauty standing tall for years , is the place to visit in bucket list , is the place to celebrate love , is the place to see art , is place to feel euphoria of standing in front of UNESCO world heritage site , is the place built out of love , Is the place that will remain in your heart forever ,etc etc it is is the white beauty speaking in splash of colours .

But For me tajmahal is the place showing India an incredible artistic and cultural heritage ❤️

Charges to go inside Tajmahal is ₹50 for Indians and ₹1300 for foreigners .

After getting our soul filled with the chaotic but peaceful vibes at the same time, inside the white beauty we left for mehtab bagh .

Mehtab is a park from where you can admire the beauty of taj . A perfect place for tourists to end their day by enjoying the view of magnificent beauty in peace . It a perfect place for photographers too .

After a long tiring day i came back to station from where i took a train way back to delhi with a bag full of memories in my heart .

This is Fatehpur Sikri ❤
