We live in a world full of beauty, charm and adventure and Chabimura is one of them. An isolated place located deep in the forest with less human intervention, in South Tripura on the bank of river Gomati.
Main Attractions
Chabimura is famous for its rock carvings of Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Kartika, Durga and other Gods and Goddesses on steep mountain. The hill ranges are covered with thick jungles and waterfalls. To reach this abode of gods one have to trek through this jungles
There are boats standing by the side of the river. These boat will give a ride of the Gomati river, amidst of the jungle covered hills on both sides. The boat will stop by another wonder, the "Path to heaven" (as per local folk tales), an endless cave between the mountain. It is worth saying, Chabimura shows the beauty of nature very closely. It is Tripura's own "Amazon".

Local Tribes
Chabimura is the habitat of the indigenous tribes, Jamatia. They are from Mongoloid origin with distinct features and speak Kokborok language.
How to reach
We booked a cab from Agartala to Chabimura for the whole day. It took 2 hours to reach the place. As it was monsoon, so roads were rough and muddy. It is advised to avoid this place in monsoon.
Best time to visit: November to March

Accommodations
There are few places like Chabimura cottage, Sagarika Parjatan Niwas in Amarpur near Chabimura. But we stayed in Agartala as there are so many other places to explore.
