Day 1

After completing the Immigration formalities and collecting our baggage at the Hongkong International Airport, me and my husband headed outside the Airport and bought bus tickets at the Counter to Tsim Sha Tsui where our hotel was located. You have to take the Bus num A21 if you are going to Tsim Sha Tsui. The bus journey to the City Centre was almost an hour but the ride was very comfortable and we enjoyed the sights on the way. We got off at a bus stop just few steps away from our hotel. After check in, we rested in the hotel room for a couple of hours, then proceeded to the Victoria Harbour Promenade which was 10 mins walking distance from our hotel. The Promenade was crowded with tourists as it's one of the best spots for clicking pics of the spectacular Hongkong skyline. We also saw the Clock Tower while strolling along the Promenade. We watched the Street Musicians near the Clock tower and the daily Sound and Light Show which started at 8pm. After dinner at a nearby restaurant, we decided to go to the Lan Kwai Fong nightlife area as it was a Saturday night. We took the MTR from Tsim Sha Tsui Station to Lan Kwai Fong. As soon as we stepped into Lan Kwai Fong, we felt like we were on the Streets of Europe. It had that kind of vibe. The cobblestoned uphill winding streets were buzzing with people from different Nationalities chatting and enjoying a drink and the Pubs were so lively. We partied till 3am then took a cab back to the hotel. So our day 1 in Hongkong ended on a very high note.

Day 2

On Day 2, we planned to explore Victoria Peak. After an early lunch, we crossed over from Tsim Sha Tsui side to Central via the Star Ferry. You can buy the tickets at the Ferry terminal. Once we reached Central, just outside the Ferry terminal was the bus stop. We took bus num 15 which takes you to the top of the Peak. The Peak tram service is temporarily suspended due to an upgrade project so we had no option but to take the bus. It was a nice fun ride to the top of the Peak. We spent a couple of hours at the Peak enjoying the breathtaking views of the Harbour and City. We also visited the Peak garden and sat there for 30 mins. It was a memorable experience. After being fully satisfied with the tons of pics we clicked, we boarded the Bus num 15 to return back to the Central Pier. We crossed back to Tsim Sha Tsui side by the Star Ferry. By the time we reached our hotel, it was almost 7 pm. After a quick shower, we headed over to the Temple Street Night Market. It is a daily bustling night market for antiques, trinkets, clothes, electronics etc. We bought a few souvenirs to take back home with us. This night market was not as exciting as the ones in Thailand but the best part was the numerous restaurants and eateries in the surrounding Mongkok area that made it really worth the visit. A must try when in Hongkong are the varieties of delicious dimsums. After dinner, we returned back to our hotel which was walking distance from the Night Market.

Day 3

On day 3 we left for Disneyland by MTR from Tsim Sha Tsui Station. It takes around 45 minutes to reach Disneyland by MTR. We took the Tsuen Wan bound MTR and had to get down at Lai King Station. We had to change to Tung Chung Line there and again get down at Sunny Bay Station. There we had to change to Disneyland Resort Line. A cute Mickey Mouse train took us to the last stop Disneyland. This journey by MTR seems complicated but was quite easy. We had no issues. We spent 5 hours at Disneyland. Surprisingly, there were more adults than kids at Disneyland. We visited the Main Street, Fantasy land, Adventure land, Tomorrow land & Toy Story Land. It was a fun experience. We were lucky to be still around to watch the Parade which started at 5.30 pm. The parade was amazing with all the Disney characters we have loved since our childhood. After the parade we enjoyed some Mickey Mouse pastries and Coffee on Main Street, then headed to the Station to board the train back to the City. We reached back to Tsim Sha Tsui at around 8 pm. We then went to the Mongkok area to enjoy some more dimsums for dinner.

Day 4

On the last day, we spent most of the day shopping at Nathan road as we had covered all the attractions of Hongkong. Late evening we went back to the Victoria Harbour Promenade and walked to the Avenue of Stars along the Promenade which honours celebrities of the Hongkong film Industry. We clicked a few pics and sat for some time on the benches there enjoying the cool breeze. After an early dinner, we headed back to the hotel as we had to wake up at 4 am to leave for the Airport to catch our 8.30 am morning flight back home. We took the same A21 bus to the Airport which stops just a few steps away from our hotel. We left Hongkong very happy after a wonderful fun trip.
