On the first day of Year when most of people are having fun in the concrete metro city I got a chance to go away from the extra loud parties and crowd- Chokhdhani-Sonepat. I had a random plan with my family to visit this place. It is located on NH1- Sonepat. While reaching Chokhidhani we also had famous Aloo Pranthas on Murthal. When we reached there it was looking like an ordinary resort from outside but the real magic begins when we entered into it. We were welcomed by volunteers who applied red TIKA on forehead and we were offered welcome drink which tasted like Jaljeera. Rajasthani dancers performing with fire pots on their heads, magical tricks ,bangle shops, man with giant height - artificial wooden legs, fire blows by mouth, rotating bull game, Camel ride, bull cart ride, horse cart ride and many uncountable fun which we did and observed there. Full on Village feel with so many activities and performances over there take us to a different level of celebrating New Year. Finally on the dinner time we had proper Rajasthani Thali offered to us with essence of the its culture. Dal baati , bajara khichdi ,gatte ki sabji were the main dishes we had there.

It was an awesome experience of Outing to nearby getaway -Delhi. Spending 5-6 hours was full on fun with family. Easy to reach from Delhi and so many things to do made my New Year's Day special and lovely.
