Betaab Valley Reviews

Our trip to Betab valley and Aru valley was a pleasant one, had enough time to relax and rejuvenate ourselves, putting the previous day's travails to bed. We left Pahalgam for Gulmarg after a few lazy and restful days. The sights of Afarwat peak and Pir Panjal range , views of Kongdoori valley from Gulmarg gondola (supposedly Asia's longest and highest cable car ride), took our breath away!
Great place with great Liddar river picnic spot. It is a picnic spot for the travellers and the local people. The water is so clear and blue. The river flows down the valley. The trio of majestic Himalayas, the blue sky and the flowing Liddar river gives a great view. Also, the top view of the betaab valley is amazing (on road connecting Chandwari and Betaab valley).
Betaab valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab. The Valley is towards the northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwadi and is en-route Amarnath Temple Yatra. This valley is surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountains and covered with dense vegetation.
Beetab valley gets it's name from a movie 'Beetab' shot there. Locals picnic here, it's huge lush green meadows, snow capped mountains and other end you see some women harvesting and shepherd grazing his cattle and far away you can spot a military bunker.
